Hello! I live in Northern California and have been a huge fan of Concord and 9th’s clean bold designs and high quality products for the past 5 years ago.  I especially like the Turnabout stamps, and was thrilled when they released their own, unique color palette last year.  I am so honored to be a guest designer in celebration of their July release.

I was gifted a scrapbooking kit for my eleventh birthday and spent the next few days on my bedroom floor, surrounded by family photos creating what would become my first scrapbook album! Later, I discovered my love of card making and began watching YouTube videos to learn new techniques and see how different products worked.

I am very visual, and it is easier for me to create when I can see what I have.  So, I converted a walk-in closet in my bedroom into a customized ceiling to floor craft room where I labeled dies, stamps, inks, envelopes, etc. and arranged them by color and brand.  This helps me tremendously when designing cards and creating other craft projects because I like to keep a clean workspace, as much as possible, and grab exactly what I want when I am thinking about it. 

I particularly love using lots of color and paper piecing on my cards.  I enjoy working with abstract shapes and lately have been working on improving my coloring skills. I also am loving large open stamps and dies with lots of space for adding color.

When not working as a Financial Planner I can be found in my craft closet selecting dies and stamps for my next project, filming a new YouTube cardmaking video or creating cards for upcoming local craft fairs.  I also enjoy swapping crafting ideas and techniques with my cousin, and binge-watching craft room tours to see how others organize their space.

Hi, I’m Caryn aka Glitter Me Silly. I am a Scottish WFH mum of 5 (well 6 if you include the hubby) living near the fabulous city of Liverpool, England! 

Back in 2003 I was pregnant (again) and desperate to find an outlet that didn’t involve nappies, baby sick and toddler groups! A friend of mine had attended a local card-making class and when I saw what she’d created, my mind was blown!  I joined her for the next one and that was it, I was hooked! 

18 years later and I still love it.  I don’t know if I have a style but I love stamping and die cutting, bright and pastel colour palettes and get excited when new and innovative designs emerge to keep the creative flames alight! That’s one of the things that makes Concord and 9th one of my favourite companies.  Clever concepts like the Turnabout range and their amazing 3D designs keep the papercrafting industry alive and thriving in a world where we crafters need it more than ever. Guest designing this month and getting to create with these fabulous products is an honour and I can’t wait to share some fun ideas with you!
