It's Feature Friday! Today we start to take a closer look at the products in our November release and to help us out we have three new guest designers: Barb Engler, Jenny Colacicco, and Ricky Burton-Romero! We're so excited to be featuring the work of these these super talented crafters and hope you are too. I live in Minnesota with my husband, and we have two grown sons. Years ago, when my kids were young, I started scrapbooking but fell in love with card making in 2010. I retired in 2015 and I’ve really enjoyed having more time to create cards. I also love to knit, crochet and go on long walks around the many lakes near my home.
Shortly after retiring, I was approached by Simon Says Stamp and asked to run their Flickr group, where we continue to host a biweekly challenge. I also run Simon’s Instagram challenge account, which has a monthly theme. I feel so grateful to be able to now work in the crafting industry and do what I love every single day!

Hi I’m Jenny Colacicco and I live in New York with my husband and daughter Ruby (who is just starting kindergarten). I’m originally from England and moved to the USA ten years ago. I discovered the joys of cardmaking just after moving here and it has consumed most of my free time ever since! I particularly love florals and technique based cards! When not in my craft room or at work, I love hiking with my family and movie night - I’m a huge Star Wars nerd! I’m thrilled to be guesting with Concord and 9th this month and excited to share inspiration for this awesome release!

My name is Ricky, but I introduce myself as “It’s your boy Ricky,” thanks to my Instagram followers. I have been a card maker for five years. What started as a one-time Christmas card making season turned into a full-on life of art, people, and love. I am so happy that I have been introduced to this world of kindness, and it makes me even more comfortable that I can be who I am without judgment. I have been introduced to so many amazing people and have been able to work with some of the most fantastic artists out there!
I am an animal lover by nature, and I volunteer with non-profit organizations. I have created yearly card drives to assist animals in need. For my daytime job, I am a retirement manager/analyst. Card-making is my escape into my little world. I would say that clean and simple cards are my favorite, but that would be a lie, because well, I love super tacky colorful cards too!
I live in Chicago, IL, have a wonderful husband named Tony and two lovely pit bull rescues named Ivy & Izel. Izel is a special needs dog as she is deaf. She has taught me a lot about being the best person I can be. That is my life motto, to be the best person I can be and help others be the best they can be. I am so excited to guest design for Concord & 9th this month. It is truly an honor!
