INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut two 5-½”X 4-¼ “ panels out of white cardstock.
- Align the upper wing stencil from the Boho Butterfly Stencil set to the first 5-½”X 4-¼ “ panel using the etched corner guides in the stencil.
- Blend the upper wings of the top butterfly in Brickyard ink. Focusing the ink on the inner part of the Butterfly close to where the body will be. Do the same for the bottom butterfly using Powder ink. Using a slightly heavier hand will create a darker color. Skip the center butterfly.
- Move the stencil to align the detail portion of the stencil to the upper part of the wings. Layer a heavy hand of Brickyard ink on the upper wings of the top butterfly. Do the same with the Powder butterfly on the bottom to create the detail in the wings.
- Before removing the stencil, allow the ink to fully dry and then use a white gel pen to trace the detail stencil in white ink.
- Using the second stencil, align the lower wings up to the top and bottom butterflies. Use nectar ink to blend the lower wings of the top butterfly. Repeat for the bottom butterfly in Powder ink using a light hand.
- Once the first layer of the bottom wings is complete, align the details over the bottom portion of the wings and blend the lower wings of the top butterfly in Nectar and the lower wings of the bottom butterfly in Powder.
- Allow the ink to fully dry and then use a white gel pen to trace the detail stencil in white ink.
- On a new white 5-½”X 4-¼ “ panel repeat steps 3-9 for the center butterfly using Honeycomb ink.
- For the center butterfly only; align the butterfly body portion of the stencil on the honeycomb butterfly and ink that in black ink.
- Using the coordinating die cut out the Brickyard butterfly and an additional one in white cardstock. Glue these together to create a stacked element. Repeat for the Powder butterfly.
- Using the medium sized detailed butterfly dies, cut out two butterflies in white cardstock. Ink one of them in Brickyard ink and one of them in Powder ink, focusing the ink to the center of the butterfly toward the body. Adhere to corresponding butterflies.
- Cut the large butterfly bodies from black cardstock and adhere to the Powder and Brickyard/Nectar butterflies.
- Cut ½” from both sides of the panel with the Honeycomb butterfly on it. Leaving a 5-½” X 3-¼” panel.
- Adhere the Brickyard/Nectar butterfly and the Powder butterfly above and below the center honeycomb butterfly.
- Cut out a 5-½” X 3-½” panel of Eucalyptus cardstock and glue the butterfly panel onto the Eucalyptus panel leaving a ⅛” edge on each side.
- Create the sentiment using the Bold Butterflies Stamps, coordinating banner die and Eucalyptus ink. Adhere the sentiment using foam tape across the Honeycomb butterfly.
- Fold 8-½” x 5-½” White cardstock in half for the card base.Glue the Butterfly panel onto the card base.
