CREATE A CARD: SURFSIDE
Create a card with us using the Slumber Party color palette featuring Surfside, our pretty and playful new green!
SUPPLIES:
- Paper Posy Stamp Set and Dies
- Surfside and Midnight ink
- Almond, Clementine, Watermelon, Surfside, Capri, and Midnight cardstock
- Gold enamel dots
- Liquid adhesive
- Foam tape
- Scissors
DIE CUT THE FOLLOWING:
Watermelon
- 2 medium 4-petal flowers
- 2 large 3-petal flowers
- 2 small 3-petal flowers
- 1 large outline/hollow petal flower center
- 1 medium outline/hollow petal flower center
- 3 small hollow outline/hollow petal centers
Almond
- 2 medium 4-petal flowers
- 2 small 3-petal flowers
- 1 large outline/hollow petal flower centers
- 1 medium outline/hollow petal flower centers
- 3 small hollow outline/hollow petal centers
Clementine
- 4 8-petal daisies
- 2 medium outline/hollow petal flower centers
- 1 small hollow outline/hollow petal center
Midnight
- 3 small leaves
- 3 large leaves
Blueberry
- 4 small branches
INSTRUCTIONS
- Assemble the large Almond flower by gluing together the larger 4-petal flowers. Be sure to offset the pieces so the bottom petals peak through between the top petals.
- Glue the outline, or hollow Almond flower centers together with the large one in the back, then the medium, then the small and adhere to the larger petals.
- Gently curl pull the petals by pulling the outer petal forward while pinching the centers.
- Repeat with the large Watermelon flower.
- Assemble the Clementine flowers by gluing two of the 8-petal daisies, offsetting the petals.
- Glue the outline Clementine flower centers centers together with the medium one at the back and the smaller one at the front and adhere to the daisy element.
- Repeat to create a second Clementine flower.
- Assemble the medium Watermelon flower by gluing together two of the large 3-petal Watermelon flowers offsetting them
- Glue the two smaller 3-petal flowers together and attach to the larger flowers.
- Offset and adhere the two small Watermelon outline flower centers together and attach to the center of the Watermelon flower.
- Assemble the smaller Almond flower by gluing the two smaller 3-petal flowers together, offsetting the petals.
- Offset and adhere the two small Almond outline flower centers together and attach to the center of the Almond flower.
- Cut a 4-¼” x 5-½” panel in Surfside.
- Cut a 3-¾” x 5” panel in Surfside.
- Stamp the + cluster stamp from the Paper Posy Stamp Set randomly around the 3-¾” x 5” panel using Surfside ink.
- Stamp the “Thank You” in Midnight ink on the bottom left corner of the same panel.
- Center and adhere the 3-¾” x 5” panel onto the 4-¼” x 5-½” panel using foam tape, leaving a ¼” gap along the border.
- Adhere the large Watermelon flower and large Almond flower to the center of the card at a downward angle from left to right, only placing glue on the center of the flower allowing for the remaining flowers to be tucked under.
- Repeat for the medium Watermelon flower on the bottom right corner, tucking under the large Almond flower.
- Tuck one of the Clementine flowers under the Watermelon petals on the right side above the large Almond flower.
- Repeat with the second Clementine flower on the left side below the large Watermelon flower, tucking the Clementine petals under the Almond petals.
- Use the Midnight leaves and liquid adhesive to tuck the leaves under the petals. Use scissors to cut and trim the leaf die-cuts as needed.
- Use liquid adhesive and the Blueberry branches to tuck and fill in the remaining area around the flowers. Use scissors to cut and trim the branch die cuts as needed.
- Add Gold Enamel Dots to the centers of the flowers.
