This is an exciting post for us, because Diane Jaquay has been a supporter of Concord & 9th since we launched! She has cheered us on, liked our posts, and we're pretty sure she has a good collection of Concord & 9th products in her house! We are so appreciative of Diane - and, not only that, she has made GREAT projects with our products. Look through her Instagram @dianejaquay if you don't believe me! :) So, we just had to ask Diane to guest with us.
First, here is a little more to know about Diane:
Hello! I'm so incredibly happy to be a guest this month with Concord & 9th! I was in my car when the message came from Angie asking me and I couldn't get home fast enough to email her lol! Those of you that know me know that I've been enamored with everything Concord & 9th since I first discovered them on Instagram this past fall, so this really is a BIG thrill for me! A little about me, I live in beautiful Lancaster County PA with my husband Dave, our 2 teens, Connor and Ali, and our fur baby, Lola. I've been paper crafting in one form or another since my son was born, 19 years ago. I spend as much time as I can at my craft table (I work very slowly!), but when I'm not doing that I love spending time with my wonderful family, either hanging out or going places together. I want to thank Angie and Greg for giving me this opportunity to create with their fabulous products!
The cards Diane made today focus on our new Flourish stamp set. You'll want to hop over to Diane's blog to read more about how these BEAUTIFUL cards came to be! Very cool techniques involved!! Same stamp set, very different looks.
She also participated in a color challenge over at The Challenge and posted another pretty card using Flourish! Go check it out HERE!
Great job Diane! We love all of these!
We are excited to share some AWESOME cards by Amy Lee today! First things first, if you are not following Amy's blog, The Craft Bunny, or her Instagram @thecraftbunny, you are missing out! GO. RUN. FOLLOW. BE INSPIRED!
Here is more to know about Amy:
Hi there! I am Amy, also known as @thecraftbunny in my social media. I am from Hong Kong but I currently live in rainy Seattle with my husband. Since it is always rainy, I craft to make myself happy :) I have started crafting in 2015 and since then, I have become addicted! I love colorful and happy cards. I also love watercoloring. My long-term goal is to become a watercolorist. I am so honored to guest design for Concord & 9th this month! I hope my cards will bring you positive energy!
Today Amy focused on our new stamp set Crazy Awesome. And, these cards are just that....CRAZY AWESOME!!! In both she has used distress ink blending, yet they feel so different. We love the 'chalk' look of the big black & white medallion piece, and that Amy thought outside of the box (or medallion) on the 2nd card. Hop over to her blog to read more details on how these were made!
Laurie Willison is back sharing an A*DORE*ABLE card using Birdie Banners and Banner Alpha Bits stamp sets. We have loved having Laurie as a guest designer in March. If you missed her previous blog posts, see them here and here! Be sure to head over to her blog, Soapbox Creations, and her Instagram @laurie_willison for more inspiring craft projects!!
So very cute! THANKS Laurie!
IT'S YOUR HAPPY DAY! Joan @dearpaperlicious is sharing another darling card with us today! Lucky us! Her card features our Birdie Banners stamp set. We love how simple the card is ~ just stamps, ink & paper, yet it's so colorful and creative that it doesn't need more than that!
Head over to Joan's blog, DEAR PAPERLICIOUS, to learn how she created this fun birthday card! P.S.....It's easy to mail too!
We have LOVED having Joan as a guest designer for Concord & 9th. We are drawn to Joan's style, and are happy to call her our friend! THANKS JOAN!
Carissa of Sprinkled with Glitter is back on our blog today and has made another WONDERFUL card combining our Wonderful Women stamp set with our Bouquet Die. As an added touch, she also used our Being Classy stamp set to finish off the card with an inside sentiment! Not only that, but she has a VIDEO showing how this card came together, with distress ink blending techniques and hints on how to use our 3mm gold sequin trim! It's worth the watch!
We have been THRILLED to have Carissa as a guest designer this month! If you missed her first blog post with us, view it HERE. She not only made beautiful cards with our products, but technique video's with each too. We are super lucky! THANKS Carissa!
Laurie @laurie_willison is back with another post showing a beautiful card with our new Bouquet die and Sophisticated Script stamp set. We love how Laurie thought outside the 'bouquet' and used the die in an unexpected way! Click over to her blog, Soapbox Creations, for more details on how to create this!
P.S. If you are wondering about the restock of Sophisticated Script, it's coming VERY, VERY soon...probably Monday, Tuesday at the latest...yahoo!
Very beautiful Laurie!
We're excited to play along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! We were sponsors back in December for the Winter blog hop, and decided we wanted to be more involved this time! With "Spring" as the theme, we decided we would play around with a fresh palette of corals and sky blues. For this project, we used our Let's Chat stamp set for the imagery and our new Wonderful Women stamp set for the sentiment. Doesn't the word "Lovely" just sound like Spring?!
We played around with ombre effects on the plate decoration and the stamped sentiment. For the leafy plate design, we used three shades of Copics to create the gradient around the plate. On the sentiment, we used shades of Distress Ink, ranging from Abandoned Coral to Barn Door. Pick up the lightest shade on the entire stamp, then pick up the middle tone on about half the stamp, then pick up a hint of the darkest shade on the bottom of the stamp. We didn't spritz the stamp with water, but you could do that if you wanted to get a more blended/water-colored look.
We added some coral Copic to the glitter paper to customize it and tie it in a little more. Copic purists are probably cringing hearing that! We were very gentle on the glitter paper, and we made sure to use a low texture glitter paper to avoid sandpapering the tip of our marker. :)
We also used the heart border stamp to create some movement on the card. It was a little bare without it, and it was just the finishing touch the card needed!
We've had so much fun participating in this blog hop! Thank you Amy Tsuruta for the invitation!

TIME TO CELEBRATE...BABY!
Joan is back today showing CUTE baby projects with our Birdie Banners & Banner Alpha Bits stamp sets. If you missed Joan's first blog post with us that includes her bio, and another card, see it HERE.
We love how Joan used our Bags & Tags dies to make the tag, she used our 3mm gold sequins as the banner strand that the birdie's are holding, plus she made her own wrapping paper! Head over to Dear Paperlicious for further details.
We love these Joan!
