It's time for Carissa!

We are so excited that Carissa Wiley of Sprinkled with Glitter had time to make some projects for us as a guest designer! We absolutely LOVE Carissa's style and it shows in these fabulous cards!

First, here is a bit more about Carissa:

Hi!  I’m Carissa Wiley from  I’m a wife, mother of three, paper crafter, card maker, and all around crafty kind of gal.  I’ve been crafting since my son was born.  I started as a scrapbooker….and then moved in to the card making world.  I love that I get to share with others through card making.  It’s a craft that’s not mean to keep for yourself, but is meant to be shared with others.  I also love sharing the “how to” of my projects with others through my blog and YouTube channel.  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you’re inspired to create!

Now, on to those fabulous cards I mentioned...
On the first card, Carissa is using our new Bouquet die in an unexpected way. She clipped off the flowers only and made her own spray for the background. In both cards she has also used Wonderful Women stamp set and Wonderful Words dies. You are going to need to head to her blog for detailed instructions AND even a video tutorial!!! How awesome is that?

Be sure to follow Carissa on Instragram @carissawiley and her blog, Sprinkled with Glitter. She shares so much creative inspiration - you won't want to miss out!
Thank you Carrisa!!!

Welcome Laurie!

A big welcome to Laurie Willison @laurie_willison! She posted a video over on her blog Soapbox Creations showing our Sophisticated Script stamp set (that will be restocked very soon, we promise), and did such a good job that we invited her to guest design with our March new release products. Then, come to find out, she is friends with one of our past guest designers, and friend, Amy Kolling! So fun to learn the connections within our creative industry!

Here is a little bit about Laurie:

Hi there!  My name is Laurie Willison. I am a wife, mom and nurse, living in Kansas.  I have been paper crafting and blogging now for 9 years.  You can find me over at my blog, Soapbox Creations.  I have had the honor of working with some amazing companies over the years, but I am so excited to join Concord & 9th this month!  Their stamps are amazing and so perfect for my CAS style.  The release this month is so much fun and I can't wait to share some projects with you!

Check out Laurie's card using our new Wonderful Women stamp set and Wonderful Words dies! We love the colors, and the different tones on the die cut words. Head over to her blog and read all about how she did it! Be sure to follow all of her social media outlets!

Isn't this cool? Great job Laurie!

Say HELLO to Joan!

We are SO happy to have Joan Bardee @dearpaperlicious as a guest designer for our March release. We have had a fun relationship with Joan that started back in August when we launched. Joan was among some of the first crafters to show her support to us with encouraging comments, likes on Instagram, etc. She even did an interview on her blog about Concord & 9th that you can read about HERE. We feel lucky, and honored to have Joan creating projects for us. We LOVE her clean style - such a talented, fun lady!

Here is a little bit about Joan:

Hi!  I'm so happy to serve as a guest designer for Concord & 9th, one of my favorite craft companies! Thank you Angie and Greg -- you are wicked talented.

I've been stamping on and off for over 10 years.  I've tried a lot of styles, but no matter how I start out, I usually end up with one or two layers and minimal embellishments.

I live in Fairfax, Virginia, outside Washington DC, with my very nice husband.  I'm also a mom of one son, who flew the nest a couple of years ago.  Last year, I was lucky enough to retire from my career as a lawyer.  When I'm not crafting, I'm thinking about crafting, about how I should be cleaning my craft room, or about the fantastic stamping community from whom I've learned so much.

I hope you enjoy Concord & 9th as much as I do!

We just love what Joan came up with using our new Bouquet die. Very unique, out of the box uses, that turned out gorgeous! To learn more about how Joan created these, be sure to visit her fabulous blog Dear Paperlicious, and follow her other social media outlets! You will be so happy that you did!

Stunning - right?!? Great job Joan!

Katherine is back!

Katherine has made more INCREDIBLE creations with our February release products. When we are in the process of creating stamp sets, we really do try to think up many different ways to use the stamps. We want your hard-earned dollars to be well spent. When we saw this card by Katherine using our Wildflower and Beautiful Words stamp sets and Beautiful You dies we were at a loss for words! Absolutely incredible! Bending the stamps, the masking and the watercoloring are just BEAUTIFUL and so creative! Katherine really thought outside the {flower} box on this one!

Here is another card by Katherine using the Floral & Flutter dies and Beautiful Words stamp set. The shimmer under the delicate cut flowers is really cool! We love the simplicity of this card!

Head over the Katherine's blog to read more about her techniques. I know we learned something new! :)

Mayline is back!

Mayline - you are amazingly talented! This card made our jaws drop. We love it when our guest designers use our product to create works of art like this. Now I want to drop everything and try this no line watercolor technique. You MUST go read Mayline's blog to learn how she created this card - and see more close ups.

This card uses our Wildflower stamp set and Beautiful You dies. If you are not following Mayline's blog or Instragram @maylinelovesyou, you should go do that NOW.

THANK YOU Mayline for sharing your talent with us!

Julia does it again!

Julia is back with some more amazing cards using Wildflower, Floral & Flutter dies, Beautiful Words and Beautiful You dies from our February 2016 release. If you haven't seen her blog Pieces of Happiness or follow her Instagram account @mimizukupapeterie, go check out both now! :)

The flower placement and coloring on this card is divine! Do you see the shimmer on the word beautiful? Love!

This card is so cool! We love how she stapled the delicate flower lines back over the inked floral background. She also added teeny tiny sequins from our gold strands to add as accents on the card (they come off the strand with a little tug).

Here are two more cards using the same idea of layering the dies, but over a die cut circle. These make for quick & easy, yet beautiful cards!

Be sure to go over to Julia's blog for more details on how these amazing cards came together, and tips on techniques!

We have LOVED having Julia as a guest designer this month. Julia is SO talented, and we are very inspired by her work, and fresh ideas! If you didn't see her introduction post with two more beautiful cards, go read it HERE.

Thanks Julia!

Say Hello to KATHERINE!

Attention everyone! You must say hello to Katherine! She is guest designing for us and she A*MAZE*ING! You should go to her blog, Little Things, and follow her, and head over to her Instagram @thingiewingie

Here is a little info about Katherine:
Hello there! My name is Yekaterina (Katherine) Shudrova. I have been living in Kazakhstan (Central Asia) since I was born and it has been 29 years by now. I am a happy wife and a “mother” of about 50-70 wonderful kids from 10 to 40 as I work as a teacher of English in a family private school. There are three things in this wonderful world that make me a happy little being: my family, my job and cardmaking.

I have been making cards since 2010 and I sharing my creations on Flickr, Pinterest and Instagram (quite recently), and I've been blogging since 2012. I have unexplainable passion for everything neat, simple, stamped and de/embossed. I am also a fan of lifehacks of any kind.

I am so honored to feature Concord & 9th here, because as they are SO COOL! I hope you'll love them as much as I do, and will like what I've come up with. Have fun and happy crafting!

We LOVE how Katherine attached the butterfly from Floral & Flutter dies to this card with a little bit of sewing. She also did a very cool technique to create the 'stamped' butterflies. Read about that on her blog.

Here is another very beautiful card. We love the clean look with the white washed watercolor technique behind the flowers in our Wildflower stamp set. Another cool technique that you'll want to read about on her blog, and try for yourself.

Don't worry - there will be more from Katherine very soon! Stay tuned....

Welcome Julia!

We are so excited to welcome Julia Klein at Pieces for Happiness as a guest designer this month. She is using our February release, and made fabulous cards to share with you! Here is a little info about Julia:

My name is Julia, I am from Germany and I made the first steps with cardmaking and scrapbooking in January 2014. As a graphic designer I am most of the time in front of a screen, so I really enjoy to create something with my hands by using different materials. Especially with paper!
Crafting with paper is not only a passion for me but also a way to express myself. I love to play with details and to lose myself totally in the projects I am working on. My favorite papercrafting projects are making cards, wrapping gifts and I really like new challenges as they are the best way to develop my scrapbooking style and to evolve myself. You can make so many pretty things with a bunch of paper, some stamps and cute embellishments combined with my favorite watercolors. And the best thing about crafting is the smile that you will receive from people who got a card from you. That´s what I really appreciate!
You can really tell that Julia LOVES papercrafting and has a talent for it because these cards are so unique and 'beautiful'. We love how Julia repeatedly stamped the word beautiful from Beautiful Words and then created a focal point with the Beautiful You die. And the touch of gold with navy -LOVE!  Need we say more?

Here is another card using the beautiful blue tones, Beautiful You stamp set and  Wildflower stamp set. Her watercolor technique is perfect!
Quick! Head over to Julia's blog to read more about her creations - and be inspired constantly by her work. You'll want to follow her on Instragram too @mimizukupapeterie! P.S. You'll want to hit the translate button, unless you speak German! :)
