We are lucky enough to be sponsoring another week over on CASology! Click over to see how you can play along. Below is this weeks cue word and Angie's attempt at creating an OWL out of stamp sets we currently carry (none of which include an owl). Challenge accepted! Angie used our Pop Art Pineapple stamps and dies to create this little fella. The wings are the pineapple body cut in two, the feet and beak are the flowers, and the dip on his head is just an edge of the pineapple body die. Oh, the eyes are from our Bags & Tags dies - they are the little circle tag reinforcer. Perfectly sized for big owl eyes!
This card would be good to welcome a new little baby or even a new neighbor. Would you like to have a chance at winning the Pop Art Pineapple stamp set? Head over to CASology to play along!
We just love to find talented crafters via social media! Today's guest post is from Amy Kolling. Her blog is called Stamp-n-Paradise. You need to check it out! Here are some fun facts about Amy:
Hello! My name is Amy Kolling. I live in Kansas with my 2 kids and husband. Beside my crafty resume, I work full time as a Dialysis RN at one of the largest clinics within the company. I started scrapbooking nearly 20 years ago with layouts using my wedding photos. Once I found stamping (via a Stampin' Up friend), I became a die-hard cardmaker . . . there was just something about all the matchy ink and papers that had me hook, line, and sinker! I would not be where I am today without the amazing stamping community of friends that have encouraged me from the very beginning. I am a CAS, with a few layers, kind of stamper but like to try all sorts of techniques that may or may not take me out of my comfort zone.
We love Amy's fresh, clean style so we asked her to create cards using our new Shine Brighter stamp set and Shine Brighter dies. Amy did a great job of incorporating other Concord & 9th products too. The 'MERRY and BRIGHT' card base is using our Happy Hues card pack (she trimmed down one card to use as a panel rather than the full card base - clever!) and the Ocean 3mm sequins. The 'it's your day to SHINE' card uses our Tree Ring stamp as a backdrop. SO PRETTY!
A huge THANK YOU from us to Amy for creating such fun cards, and guest posting for us! Be sure to link to her blog HERE so that you can find out about a special give-away, awe at her creations and follow her on all her social media outlets!

Head over to her blog called Kreative Kymona to read about a special offer! It might include freebies & a discount through Monday...just sayin'.
We were lucky enough to find Erin on social media. Her bright & bold style stood out to us. We were so curious to see what she'd do with our products so we invited her to do a guest post.
Here is a little bit about Erin:
Residing in Dallas, Texas with my husband, 3 children, 1 dog and a 1 cat, my little craft room is my escape after bedtime or during naptime. I started paper crafting in 2008 with a good old Cricut Expression machine. From there, I started getting into stamping and although a bit intimidating at first, I became hooked. I never looked back and am addicted to trying out new and fun stamping techniques with watercoloring and love my Copics. If I were to define my card making style, I would have to say bold, graphic and bright. I like to make a statement with my cards, no doubt.
Erin used Pop Art Pineapple stamp set and the coordinating Pop Art Pineapple dies to create this card. Pineapples are so trendy still and she has added a fun modern twist. The scalloped line along the bottom of the card is from our Bags & Tags die set as well. Erin thought outside of the "bag" when using this one!
We love how Erin uses black & white with pops of color. She used Lots of Blots stamp set for this card. I love how the "so grateful" becomes the focal point of the card, and the long brushstroke lines frame the card nicely. The Bags & Tags dies also includes a circle die that is sized perfectly to die cut the 'so grateful' circle.
A huge thank you to Erin for us for posting along with us. To enjoy more of Erin's talent, and to find out about a special giveaway, go visit her blog Erin Lee CREATIVE where you can also link up to her social media!
We are excited to announce our sponsorship with CASology - the creative study of all things clean & simple! We love the idea of clean & simple so it was a no-brainer to join efforts with Melissa. Each week there is a new cue card to prompt creativity and a winner is selected from the weekly challenge. You should play along! Here is todays cue card:
I wonder how Bob Ross would feel about these happy little trees. They are not painted, however, they are still happy with their tapered branches holding up the teeny, tiny sequin strands and standing in the dip-dyed pots! Or should I say they make me happy? I think they almost look real. In fact, my daughter reached out and touched one to see what it was made from.
As I sat here die cutting and assembling these happy little trees, I wondered what could make me happier. It came to me quickly...crafting with others. Pandora & Netflix are nice company, however, nothing beats crafting with family & friends and chatting the night away.
Here is what I suggest each guest brings:
1) Their own Take A Bough Die (it will be faster than waiting your turn to die cut)
2) Gold or Silver 3mm Sequin Strands
2) Card stock - each tree takes less than one 12x12 sheet!
3) Big Shot (or die cutting machine of their choice)
What you supply as the host:
2) Bamboo Skewers & brown ink pad (I used Ranger Walnut Stain Distress mini pad)
3) Terra Cotta pots (these are really cheap at the big box stores)
4) Black spray paint
5) Versamark Pad & Gold Embossing powder*
6) Treats & lots of Diet Coke!
*I spray painted the terra cotta pots with one coat of chalkboard paint. When dry, roll the Versamark ink pad around the bottom 1/3 of the pot, then sprinkle with gold embossing powder. Heat and set aside to cool. EASY PEASY!
Greg and I have been anticipating the release of the Take a Bough Die for weeks now. We knew how much we liked it, and hoped the feeling would be the same with crafters like yourself! Well, the response has been fabulous! We are so excited that LOTS of you have bought it! Be sure to check out inspiring projects using this die here and watch the video to see what other projects can come from this 8 piece die set!
Don't forget to tag Concord & 9th when you create your projects! We cannot wait to see what YOU come up with!
Enjoy crafting your happy little trees!
