Julia is back with some more amazing cards using Wildflower, Floral & Flutter dies, Beautiful Words and Beautiful You dies from our February 2016 release. If you haven't seen her blog Pieces of Happiness or follow her Instagram account @mimizukupapeterie, go check out both now! :)
The flower placement and coloring on this card is divine! Do you see the shimmer on the word beautiful? Love!
This card is so cool! We love how she stapled the delicate flower lines back over the inked floral background. She also added teeny tiny sequins from our gold strands to add as accents on the card (they come off the strand with a little tug).
Here are two more cards using the same idea of layering the dies, but over a die cut circle. These make for quick & easy, yet beautiful cards!
Be sure to go over to Julia's blog for more details on how these amazing cards came together, and tips on techniques!
We have LOVED having Julia as a guest designer this month. Julia is SO talented, and we are very inspired by her work, and fresh ideas! If you didn't see her introduction post with two more beautiful cards, go read it HERE.
Attention everyone! You must say hello to Katherine! She is guest designing for us and she A*MAZE*ING! You should go to her blog, Little Things, and follow her, and head over to her Instagram @thingiewingie.
Here is a little info about Katherine:
Hello there! My name is Yekaterina (Katherine) Shudrova. I have been living in Kazakhstan (Central Asia) since I was born and it has been 29 years by now. I am a happy wife and a “mother” of about 50-70 wonderful kids from 10 to 40 as I work as a teacher of English in a family private school. There are three things in this wonderful world that make me a happy little being: my family, my job and cardmaking.
I have been making cards since 2010 and I sharing my creations on Flickr, Pinterest and Instagram (quite recently), and I've been blogging since 2012. I have unexplainable passion for everything neat, simple, stamped and de/embossed. I am also a fan of lifehacks of any kind.
I am so honored to feature Concord & 9th here, because as they are SO COOL! I hope you'll love them as much as I do, and will like what I've come up with. Have fun and happy crafting!
We LOVE how Katherine attached the butterfly from Floral & Flutter dies to this card with a little bit of sewing. She also did a very cool technique to create the 'stamped' butterflies. Read about that on her blog.
Here is another very beautiful card. We love the clean look with the white washed watercolor technique behind the flowers in our Wildflower stamp set. Another cool technique that you'll want to read about on her blog, and try for yourself.
Don't worry - there will be more from Katherine very soon! Stay tuned....
We are so excited to welcome Julia Klein at Pieces for Happiness as a guest designer this month. She is using our February release, and made fabulous cards to share with you! Here is a little info about Julia:
We love these new cards by one of our guest designers, Mayline! For Mayline's bio, check out our previous blog post. We're in love with her use of our 3mm Sequin Strands backing Floral & Flutter die cuts. So simple and complex at the same time!
Repetition of the same leafy image creates a gorgeous backdrop for these cards! For more details on these cards, check out Mayline's blog. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us, Mayline!
We are thrilled that Mayline Jung at Love Design and me is using our February release to showcase BEAUTIFUL projects using our products! We feel so lucky!
Her blog and her Instagram are amazing & inspiring - so you will want to follow her, for sure!
Here is a little about Mayline:
My name is Mayline Jung. I am Korean and moved to Canada in 2008 and I am living Vancouver now. It’s one of the best places to live. I love arts, design and paper crafting, especially card making. It was by chance in 2012 that I watched a card making tutorial on YouTube. Immediately, I fell in love with the craft so I watched tutorials for an entire year and finally at the end of 2013 I decided to try to make cards. This is my short story on how my love for making cards began. Sometime I draw my own images using pencils, watercolour or acrylic paint.
Now on to the BEAUTIFUL projects she created. She used the no-line watercolor technique along with our Wildflower and Beautiful Words stamp sets. The video she did is mesmerizing. It is a MUST SEE! Head over to her blog....quick! :)
Here are more cards created by the talented design team for A Blog Named Hero. They used Hero Arts products, along with Concord & 9th to come up with their creations. It's been a fun collaboration to see how two different companies products can compliment each other. Head over to A Blog Named Hero blog to read details on how they came up with their projects and to see additional photo's. Great job ladies!!

Check out this new card by Joy! We love how she created an ombre behind the striped heart and how the "YOU ARE LOVED" looks like little labels from a label maker. Hop over to Joys blog Simple by Design for more specifics on how she created this beauty! If you missed our introduction post about Joy Taylor, keep scrolling to learn more about her!
Now - we know the Layers of Love die is out of stock. The response to the die was fantastic - and trust us - we have more on order and hope to receive them SOON! For now, keep gathering up all these fun ideas to try out when you get your own.
We are sponsoring another weekly challenge over at CASology. If you are unfamiliar with this challenge, you should go check it out. It's a fun way to stretch your imagination with your card making - and have the possibility to win a prize (from us, of course)! This weeks "cue word" is:
We created our own version of the cue word this week using our Tree Hugs stamp set. We "adore" this builder set, the color combo (which works great for women & men) and that this set is a great one for Valentine's, or any day of the year really! So, head over to CASology to join the fun!
A few weeks back we mentioned we were doing a collaboration with A Blog Named Hero. We wanted to do an update on the fun projects that have been made....so far! Here are some pictures, along with the artists name. Be sure and hop over to A Blog Named Hero to see additional photo's, read up on how they made their cards, and what inspired them to do so! SO FUN!
