A big welcome to Kathy Racoosin! Many of you know Kathy from her blog, The Daily Marker, and her fun coloring challenges. Greg had the pleasure of meeting Kathy at last years CHA Mega Show. He couldn't get over how kind she was...truly a class act. She is one of the most humble people you will ever meet. Her support of crafters everywhere, all over the world is incredibly inspiring. She's inspired us more than a few times!
Here is a little more about Kathy:
Dabbling in all kinds of hobbies throughout my life until I found the love of stamping in 2007 . When I bought my first Copic markers there was no stopping me. Through my stamping journey I have found the best part is the friendships, sisterhood and sharing my passion with anyone who will listen. The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenges have been so rewarding and fill my heart with joy.
Nothing is more exciting than seeing new releases from companies like Concord & 9th and the endless possibilities they bring. A huge thanks to Concord & 9th for the honor of guesting on their blog and working with their magical stamps.
For this first card Kathy has used our Happy Day BUNDLE - it's a bundle of Happy Day stamps and Happy Day dies sold together at a discounted price! As the queen of coloring, Kathy has done an amazing job making this cake come to life! We love how she's used the sparkler image in the stamp set as a background element on her card base and the color combo is awesome! It's a perfect example of the "naked" cakes (frosting in between the cake layers only) that you see all over Pinterest these days.
Look at this next card! "Staaawpp!" is what we said when we saw it! What a creative use of two stamp sets: Hugs and Happy Day! Who would have thought to have that cute bear hiding inside the cake? Kathy! That's who! Look at the added detail Kathy includes when she colors. A*MAZE*ING!
You must head to Kathy's blog, The Daily Marker, to read up on how she created these gems - and to enter a giveaway for $20 to our shop! Also, if you are not already, be sure to follow Kathy's Instagram @kathyrac! She's SO inspiring!
