Please help us welcome Emily Midgett as one of our April guest designers! We are excited that she will be using product from our April release to share projects with us this month! Not only have we followed Emily for a long time on social media, but she is also part of the Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge Blog design team and does as fabulous job!
Here is a little more about Emily in her own words:
Hi! I'm Emily Midgett. I live in rural Illinois with my husband, twin toddlers, two cats, and one very large dog. I have always been artistic, dabbling in various mediums from childhood and beyond: music (I have a master's in voice performance, but my diploma languishes in storage), watercoloring, drawing, jewelry-making, even cake decorating! After our wedding, I was desperate to find thank you notes that were "just right," and from then on my obsession with cardmaking began to flourish, much to my husband's simultaneous delight and dismay! I used to make cards to keep myself busy while my husband was at work, but now my craft room is my daily escape during naptime. Some people do yoga... I watercolor and make cards. It relaxes me and, I hope, makes me a better wife and mommy. Not to mention the network of friends that I have gained through this wonderful hobby is one of the best, and most unexpected, bonuses. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Concord and 9th, as I have been a longtime fangirl of their products. Thank you for having me!
Emily has used our new (yes, already sold out) Triangle Turnabout stamp along with other Concord & 9th products. When Emily made her projects, we (and she) had no idea the stamp would fly off the shelves this quickly, otherwise we would have waited to temp you with such cute projects. We anticipate getting a shipment in next week, and the following week. Our supplier has been so great to rush orders for us, as we had NO IDEA this would happen, so they are working on rush orders for us which is SO NICE! So, enjoy these inspiring cards by Emily in anticipation of you getting one soon!
In this first card she used the Triangle Turnabout along with our Happy Card Frame dies and Happy Words stamp set. This first card is stamped with one layer of the triangles as the background which looks very cool! If you are unsure of what I mean by one layer of the triangles stamped, check out our VIDEO here!
This second card has more layers of the Triangle Turnabout stamped in different colors and she's paired it with our Celebrations stamp set and Celebrations Card dies. What a fun, bright and colorful birthday card to give someone special!
For more details on these cards, head over to Emily's blog, Sixth Street Sundries. Be sure to leave her kind comments about how cute these are - and please remember that it isn't her fault we sold out so quickly! She just used her talents to share cute cards with us! :)
Be sure to follow Emily on Instagram too @eamidgett because she has a very inspiring crafty feed that you'll love! Emily will be back with us a few more times this month so keep an eye out for more by Emily!
