We're excited to have the talented Wanda Guess with us this month as a guest designer! Wanda has been a supporter of Concord & 9th from very early on, and a huge source of encouragement as we've been growing. Greg had the chance to meet Wanda in person at CHA this past January and was so impressed with her kindness. We're pretty sure anyone who knows Wanda, loves her!
Without further ado, here's a little about Wanda!
Hi there! I'm Wanda Guess and I'm so excited to be a guest designer for Concord and 9th this month! I live in Sacramento, California with my husband Mark, and our sweet orange tabby cat Buddy. I started my stamping journey in 1994! I saw someone demonstrating heat embossing at a craft fair. The rest is history as they say! Stamping has brought me so much joy through the years and introduced me to some of my very best friends, too. I like all kinds of stamping styles, from clean and simple to mixed media. I love color - you will see that my work always has lots of color!
I am fortunate to have been a part of many amazing stamping design teams. I currently design for Simon Says Stamp. I have also been a photographer for over 30 years. Photography was my first artistic passion.
When I'm not stamping, you can find me at a local coffee shop sipping a latte, taking pictures at the ocean, watching college football or laughing with my friends. I am also addicted to Instagram! I have been blogging for seven years at www.ablogcalledwanda.com.
We're thrilled with the gorgeous cards Wanda has put together! Her first project is a birthday card using our Sweet & Cool stamp and die product bundle. Love the summery colors!
Her technique gave the popsicles a perfectly frosty finish...
Wanda also surprised us with a bonus card using our Pop Art Pineapple stamps and dies! This set was recently picked up by Paper Source. We realized we shared a mutual love for Paper Source when Wanda messaged us a picture of the stamps displayed in her local store! :) This card is another stunner!
If you weren't feeling summer before, hopefully you're feeling it now! We love what you've created, Wanda. If you're not following her yet, you're missing out! Be sure to check out Wanda's blog for her own insights into how these cards came together. Thank you for inspiring us, Wanda!
