Say 'hey' to Diane Jaquay!

This is an exciting post for us, because Diane Jaquay has been a supporter of Concord & 9th since we launched! She has cheered us on, liked our posts, and we're pretty sure she has a good collection of Concord & 9th products in her house! We are so appreciative of Diane - and, not only that, she has made GREAT projects with our products. Look through her Instagram @dianejaquay if you don't believe me! :) So, we just had to ask Diane to guest with us.

First, here is a little more to know about Diane:
Hello!  I'm so incredibly happy to be a guest this month with Concord & 9th!  I was in my car when the message came from Angie asking me and I couldn't get home fast enough to email her lol!  Those of you that know me know that I've been enamored with everything Concord & 9th since I first discovered them on Instagram this past fall, so this really is a BIG thrill for me!  A little about me, I live in beautiful Lancaster County PA with my husband Dave, our 2 teens, Connor and Ali, and our fur baby, Lola.  I've been paper crafting in one form or another since my son was born, 19 years ago.  I spend as much time as I can at my craft table (I work very slowly!), but when I'm not doing that I love spending time with my wonderful family, either hanging out or going places together.  I want to thank Angie and Greg for giving me this opportunity to create with their fabulous products!

The cards Diane made today focus on our new Flourish stamp set. You'll want to hop over to Diane's blog to read more about how these BEAUTIFUL cards came to be! Very cool techniques involved!! Same stamp set, very different looks.

She also participated in a color challenge over at The Challenge and posted another pretty card using Flourish! Go check it out HERE!
Great job Diane! We love all of these!

My favorite is the branch and leaves stamp. It’s a clever design. This stamp set is so versatile and Misti makes layer stamping so easy. Love/want them both!!

I have not seen the mini misti in action and I liked the way you showed how to combine the large image and then add all the details from the stamp set. It helps when you explain why the stamp set was created and makes it appeal with the versalitity.

Very informative video, I love the way you always explain your ideas behind each element of the stamp set – it’s a good start for when one buys your lovely stamps! I like the way you have the little elements that can be used in different ways, eg within the image or on top of it / next to it. Another lovely versatile set, well done! :-)

I am not a very confident stamper this video has been very informative to me. I have learnt how to layer up the 3shades of colour to form the finished flower. i love how you use the tiny stamps to create a centre or to just add texture to a flower. i didnt really know what to use the timy flowers for before i watched this video. i love how using the misti you can place the stamp on your paper then close the misti door to get perfect placement of the stamp i think that is so vital in getting the right image stamped on your card. i have learnt so much through this one video i need to watch it a few times and write notes lol that way i know i can become a better stamper. thank you for these great tips.

What a brilliant video! I love all the different cards you can make from one stamp set. The layering flowers are awesome. My favourite tip is spritzing the distress ink with water for a textured look, I’m definitely going to give that a try x x

Beautiful stamp set, I like the technique of layering plus the help of the MISTI one time stamping also saves time and you can reink if you did not stamp good or not enough ink. I love the whole tutorial?

I’ve never really been able to master layering flower stamps maybe I’m too hard on myself, but you made it look so easy and the finished product is beautifull. I think I learned I just need to give it a go and be more daring with colours!

My fav part is that the layering takes away the coloring in detail but is still realistic.
