FEATURE FRIDAY: Welcome June Guest Designers

YAY for Friday! Friday means it is time to feature our June 2017 guest designers! This month we are lucky to have Barb Engler, Rosali Bartz and Lisa Addesa showcasing projects using our June 2017 new release productsEach of these talented ladies will be showcasing products from our new release, on the same day, with the same products. We thought this would be a fun way to show you how versatile the products can be!
In this first post we will not only show you their projects using our Hope Bundle (which is our Hope stamp set and Hope Label dies), and our Flower Turnabout stamp set, but also have you get to know each of the guests a little better with little bio's of each of them! So, let's get started!
First up is Barb Engler @bdengler4:
Here is a little more about Barb in her own words:
Hi there!
My name is Barb Engler and I have lived in Minnesota all my life. I've been married for almost 29 years and we have two wonderful boys, ages 22 and 26. I used to work at a floral shop in a small grocery store and was there for 32 years. I retired a year and a half ago and am really enjoying more time for crafting! My love for flowers continues in my card making. Flowers are definitely my favorite images to work with, especially coloring them with Copic Markers or watercolors but I also love trying new techniques and working with all sorts of different stamps and products.
I started making cards in 2010 after years of scrapbooking. Once that first card was created, I never looked back. It's my stress reveler, my boredom buster and my passion. I just love everything about it! The process of taking paper, ink, stamps, markers and other products and creating something beautiful with your own two hands is awesome, isn't it? And then we have the joy of sending that handmade card to someone else to brighten their day. What could be better!?
I am currently working for Simon Says Stamp, running their Flickr group and challenges there. I love seeing all the cards the members share and am always so impressed with their talent! I'm sort of an Instagram nut too. I have always loved commenting on other people's creations. It's just something I think is so important, ya know? We all make cards and share them so we can hopefully get some positive feedback from others, right? So why not spread a little love and encouragement to others?
I'm so excited to be guest designing this month for Concord & 9th and want to thank them for this awesome opportunity! I've had a blast playing with the June release products and hope my cards inspire you.
Lucky for us Barb has created FOUR projects using today's Feature Friday products! These first two cards are created using our Flower Turnabout stamp set. We love that she made these cards look very different from each other, yet used the same stamp! This first color combo is so fun & summery! Barb used the extra images in the Flower Turnabout set to add the dots & leaves around the flowers. The sentiment "hope you have a fabulous birthday" is from the Hope stamp set.
We love the blue, silver, black & white combo of this next card! The shine from the silver embossing is fabulous! The black & white polka dot paper really helps the sentiment 'thank you' pop off the card!
These next two cards were created using our Hope Bundle. This first card shows you how large the flowers are, and how cool they look with the layered stamping! This card is sure to make anyone smile!
Barb used the Hope Label die as the focal point on this next card. We love the peek-through that is created when diecutting the word "HOPE". She stamped the sentiment right on the diecut label piece too! This card could be given to any man, woman or child in your life!
Great job on these Barb!
Next up is Lisa Addesa @iminhaven:
Here is a little more about Lisa in her own words:
Hi everyone, my name is Lisa Addesa.  I started making cards over 20 years ago(back when dies and Big Shots didn’t even exist).  I gave up the craft about 7 years later when I decided to homeschool my three children. Time to create no longer existed, so I gave away all my stamps, inks and papers…sad emoji.   I found the craft again, back in 2009 when my then 18year old daughter brought home her handmade cards from a Stampin Up party she went to with a friend.  I was hooked, more than the first time!!  I joined Splitcoaststampers, started my blog, and have been having SUCH GREAT FUN ever since!  I have had the honor and privilege to be on some wonderful design teams, and design for some great companies!   I currently design for Simon Says Stamp and have been so blessed to be with them for the last four years!  I am so thrilled and honored to have been asked to be a guest designer this month for Concord & 9th…thank you, Angie…and the GREAT FUN continues!!
Now on to Lisa's projects!
How fabulous are these large flowers? They look really great stamped in the corners of the card - it really helps to frame in the card! And that gold embossed sentiment.....LOVE!!
This next card is a great card for anyone, but works great as a masculine card! It is hard sometimes to come up with cards that aren't too frilly! Although those are the flower detail image from the Hope stamp set stamped on the card front, they make for a cool background to the large Hope Label diecut focal point on the card!
Love these Lisa!
Last but not least is Rosali @ilovestamping:
Here is a little more about Rosali in her own words:

Hi there! My name is Rosali! I’m a 30-something crafter, I live in Northern Germany with my hubby and you might know me under my social media nickname ilovestamping. Because I just loooove stamping, ha! :-)

My little addiction with cardmaking started in 2014-half a year later I joined Instagram and met so, so many wonderful crafters and even soulmates there. It’s amazing to connect with people all over the world through this hobby! Stamping and cardmaking to me is not only a perfect way to unwind AND create something pretty but also to spread kindness. You can easily make someone’s day better with a little handmade happy mail!

We think it is so fun to connect with crafters from around the world! I mean, how cool is it to have our products travel all the way to Rosali in Germany?!? In this first project, Rosali did some very cool techniques using the large flowers in the Hope stamp set, and paired it with the sentiment from the Flower Turnabout set! It's so clever to make the detailed images white on those flowers! SWOON! Two cards, same layout, but different techniques & looks!

This next card shows how fun the Flower Turnabout stamp set is! All those fun flowers in 4 different colors! And this color combo - it's so bright & cheery! Adding in the sparkly, red-embossed "HOPE" over the background on vellum is a perfect way to make the sentiment pop, yet still see the flowers underneath!

So fun Rosali!

So, how about all this inspiration you've seen in this post? Aren't you glad you clicked over to see these? Aren't all of these projects amazing? Be sure to leave fun comments here for Barb, Lisa & Rosali to read! Make sure you are following each of them on Instagram too!

FEATURE FRIDAY: Enjoy It All + Detailed Blooms

Happy FRIDAY everyone! We are excited to share one last post with you from our May guest designers! This time Janette, Vera & Justin are using our Enjoy It All Bundle, which is our Enjoy It All stamp set + our Detailed Blooms dies sold together at a discounted price!

If you missed our previous posts with their other projects featuring our May 2017 Release products, click HERE, HERE & HERE.

First up is Janette @janettekausen:
This first card is so elegant. Look at the pretty watercolor wash & the glittery detail behind the Detailed Blooms diecut piece!

Here is Janette's next card. We love that she colored in the Detailed Blooms diecut piece. It really pops of the neutral cardstock - especially with the white embossed sentiment!

Next up is Vera @wirianta:
Vera's first card is so clever - she has used the Detailed Blooms die across the top of her card (rather than in the corners as it was designed). She's also clipped it in places and added in extra flowers with the other dies that come in the set.

This next card also shows the die snipped in places, and colored. We really love this color combo!

Last but not least is Justin @jrk912:
Looks like all 3 of our guests had the same idea to color in the diecut blooms! So fun! In Justin's first card he has used the blooms on the top portion of the card. It still frames in the sentiment very nicely!

This next card has a whole different look & feel. Justin used some iridescent paper to diecut the blooms. It looks so pretty & delicate around the focal center piece. The 'adventure' awaits is from our new Globe Greetings stamp set! We love mixing & matching stamps & dies from different sets!

Be sure to hop over to these designers blogs for more details on how these projects came to be! Be sure and follow them on Instagram too!
Don't forget to PIN their projects to your favorite boards too!s

FEATURE FRIDAY: Dotty Turnabout & All About You

Wow! These Fridays really roll around quickly! We are excited to share more great projects from our May guest designers which are Justin Krieger, Janette Kausen & Vera Yates! If you missed our previous posts with their other projects, click HERE & HERE.

Today our guests are focusing on our Dotty Turnabout stamp paired with our All About You dies!

First up is Justin @jrk912:
Look at each card - you'll see that the All About You dies are used differently on each card. Justin also used the extra images in the Dotty Turnabout stamp (like the striped thin lines). Great 'thank you' cards!

Next up is Janette @janettekausen:

Janette has made two cards using these products! Both are very different looking with such fun color choices!

This first card is a fun color combo of navy, fuchsia and gold which looks very celebratory! Janette also used the extra images like the striped lines, dotted outline and polka dots to accent the big dots in Dotty Turnabout. Adding the gold on the diecuts is a great addition too!

This next card shows the background stamped 3 times, and the middle of the O in YOU shown with the stacked hearts cut out. Keep scrolling to see a close-up of this card because the YOU is stacked and looks so cool!

And last, but not least is Vera @wirianta:

Vera has used the turnabout with embossing! We love all the texture that it shows on the card! We also love that she paired it with our Double-Cut Alphabet dies!

In this next card Vera die cut the 'thanks' and put it back in the card - very clever - and love this color combo too!

Be sure to hop over to these talented designers blogs for more details on how these projects came to be! Be sure and follow them on Instagram too!
Don't forget to PIN their projects to your favorite boards too!s

FEATURE FRIDAY: Globe Greetings

It's FRIDAY! We have another Concord & 9th FEATURE FRIDAY to share with you! All projects are created by our May guest designers using the same Concord & 9th products! The idea is you get to see multiple ideas all at one time! Did you see last Friday's post with their introductions? If not, click HERE to learn more about Janette, Vera & Justin and to see the fabulous projects they created using our new Oh, Hello Turnabout stamp set!

Today we are highlighting our new Globe Greetings Bundle. This is our Globe Greetings stamp set and coordinating Globe Greetings dies!

First up this time is Vera Yates @wirianta

Vera totally saw our vision of adding the floral spray on the globe! Plus, we love how she create the world to look like Earth, and white embossed the sentiment on top! The black background really helps the world stand out!

This next card is just the opposite -  the black globe on the white card really pops too! Notice how she stamped the middle of the diecut flowers? That's how we designed the stamps/dies to work together. The little flowers are a little tricky to stamp and cut because they are so small, but work great either stamped, or the flowers diecut in different colors of cardstock and then adding the middle details with stamping.

Great cards Vera!

Next is Justin Krieger @jrk912

Justin's card uses not only our Globe Greetings Bundle, but he's paired it with our Best Banners Bundle too! This is a combo we hadn't thought of, but LOVE!

The stamped & diecut pennants behind the globe are a perfect size (happy accident there)! This is a great take on a card for a new baby! Great combo Justin!

Last, but not least is Janette Kausen @janettekausen

Janette went all out with this product and created THREE cards for us all today! This first card would be fabulous for the men in your life! Yes, it has sequins, but it's a shaker and you know the recipient will be interested to know the mechanics of how this card comes together!

Next is a great graduation card! We love the extra embellishments of the cap & plane! And the tonal floral spray really adds a finishing touch to the card! We also spy some Floral Fill-In Patterned Paper on this card!

Here is card #3. We are really loving the black globes with white sentiments as they look chalked! Janette did a lot of fussy-cutting with the flower spray on this card because the dies will not leave that white space around each element. We love what she has done here though - it shows you can use the stamp set without the dies too - or making them look a little different. So clever!

Love all of these Janette!

Well, our second "FEATURE FRIDAY" is in the books! We've really liked this new format - do you? We think it shows how to extend the use of your stamps/dies with so many ideas in one post. We want you to be able to make lots of different projects when you buy Concord & 9th products, so we hope you are as inspired as we are!

Be sure to hop over to these talented designers blogs for more details on how these projects came to be! Be sure and follow them on Instagram too!
Don't forget to PIN their projects to your favorite boards too!

May 2017 Guest Designers

Have you had a chance to see our new May 2017 new release products? Well, we have another treat for you today! We have invited 3 guest designers to join us for May 2017! Each of them will be showcasing products from our new release, on the same day, with the same products. We thought this would be a fun way to show you how versatile the products can be! And, we have decided to feature these guests on Fridays! So, we are thinking a fun name would be FEATURE FRIDAY!

For this first Concord & 9th FEATURE FRIDAY (#C9FEATUREFRIDAY) post we will share a little tidbit about each guest along with their 'selfies' and photos of their projects! This is a fun opportunity for you to get to know them better too! The product we are highlighting today is our new Oh, Hello Turnabout stamp set! If you are unfamiliar with how our Turnabouts work, we encourage you to watch our instructional VIDEO.

So, let's get started...

JANETTE KAUSEN @janettekausen

Hello, Hello! I am Janette Kausen, I am the wife of my high school sweetheart and the mother of 4 amazing daughters (2 in elementary, 2 in college). We raise our family in the citrus rich community of Exeter, California. We grow oranges, almonds, cherries, grapefruit and recently added persimmons to our commodities. You may have even had our locally grown goodness at your grocer or even at your table. I am an old soul with a Type A personality. Crafting allows me to decompress from the stresses of everyday life. I find my Creative Bliss in being a Paper Crafter, Stamper, Copic & Watercolor Lover, Quilter, Aspiring Modern Calligrapher and overall ProCraftinator!

Janette has created two cards to share with us using Oh, Hello Turnabout stamp set. This first card is paired with our Say Hello dies! We love her layout & color combo! This would be a great card for men, women & children! Love the versatility!

Her second card feels 'fancy' with the Oh, Hello Turnabout tone-on-tone with black embossing. We love that it's paired with our You Are Enough stamp set flower too! So pretty!

That golden, shimmery strip along the card front is also very cool! To learn more about how these cards came to be, hop over to Janette's blog, Creative Bliss

Next up is Vera...

VERA YATES @wirianta

Hi everyone. My name is Vera Wirianta Yates, or you can also call me by my nickname Lingling. I am originally from Indonesia, but been calling Texas home for almost 22 years.  I started my journey in paper crafting through scrapbooking back in 1997, and soon branched out to card making. In 2009, I started my blog and it's been quite a ride since then. I've met many dear friends through cardmaking & been blessed with quite a few opportunities to design for various stamping companies throughout the years. Currently I design for The Ton Stamps, SugarPea Designs and Purple Onion Designs. I am also the founder of Caring Hearts Card Drive, an annual event that I hosted annually with Jennifer McGuire & an awesome team of volunteers, which collects handmade holiday cards for the elderly that  lives in nursing homes. Outside card making, I am known for my love for animals. I am very much a dog person & I especially love pugs. I am very excited to be guest designing for Concord & 9th as I am a big fan of their products. Can't wait to share my projects with you & thank you Concord & 9th for this fun opportunity.

Vera created two cards also! One shows the Oh, Hello Turnabout stamped 4 times, and one shows it stamped 3 times. This first card pairs the background stamp with our By Your Side Bird dies. It's so cute how the birds are perched, looking like they are saying hello to each other!

Vera's second card is showing how the background looks when you stamp & turn-it-about only 3 times. We love the open white space it leaves - especially when you fill it in with enamel hearts! So cute!

We love the color combo's of Vera's cards, and how these cards show you can create a portrait or landscape card with the background! To learn more about how these cards came to be, hop over to Vera's blog, Ling's Design Studio

And, last but not least we have Justin...

My name is Justin Krieger and I’m techie that does computer consulting. I live in Long Island, NY and I have a wonderful daughter Taylor and Mini Schnauzer Winston. I have always done some kind of paper crafting ever since I was little when I made entire car dashboards out of oaktag. I discovered my love of card making in January of 2010 while watching a show on PBS. I saw them make a waterfall card and I thought I can do that so I went out and got some supplies and made one. My friend introduced me to Stampin’ Up! in August of that year and I became an Independent Demonstrator in September. Since then my love of crafting has grown to many other companies. I'm now the proud owner of the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I’m completely addicted to crafting and take some time to make something every day. It relaxes me and is my wind down at the end of the day!

Justin also created two cards using our Oh, Hello Turnabout stamp set. In this first card, Justin also paired the stamp set with our Say Hello dies! We really didn't tell our guests this month what products to pair it with! We also thought the Say Hello dies would be a good pairing with this stamp set, and are so glad others agree!

In this first card Justin created the Turnabout background, and then added the vellum strip across the card to attach the diecut 'hello' to. What a great idea! We love that you can still see the background stamping underneath!

In this next card Justin created a panel with the background stamp. Just because the stamp is 6x6, doesn't mean that you have to use the full background. The "hi there" comes from the extra sentiments you get with the Oh, Hello Turnabout stamp!

Fantastic cards! Again, these are versatile enough to work for any recipient!
To learn more about how these cards came to be, hop over to Justin's blog
, JK Cards.

So - what did you think? Do you love #C9FEATUREFRIDAY as much as we do? We love that you now have multiple ideas on how to use one of our new products! Be sure to tune in for the next 3 Fridays to see what else these talented crafters come up with!
FRIDAY 5/19, FRIDAY 5/26 & FRIDAY 6/2

Until then, leave fun comments here for Janette, Vera & Justin and be sure to follow each of their inspiring Instagram feeds! You'll be glad you did!
